Baby's Back to the Babyback

Today is a day to be marked in all calendars and celebrated across nations and National Sebby's First Ribs Day. Yes, the former pesce-vegetarian has finally made it back to the food of his dreams: ribs. When he was a little boy his parents would take him to Spoon's where he would slather his little face with BBQ sauce in sticky babyback ecstasy. He has always remembered those ribs and has spent many a year without them. Finally, the odyssey of returning to carnivorous territory began, the end goal always being those babyback ribs. Well ladies and gentlemen, that goal has finally been achieved. I returned home from work this weekend and was welcomed by two slabs of babyback ribs, laying in expectant readiness on the bottom shelf of the fridge. They have now been carefully blanketed in cumin, smoked paprika and brown sugar, pensively awaiting to be slathered with cherry chipotle BBQ sauce before doing their low and slow dance on the grill. At long last, both man and ribs will be reunited!

Also, the aforementioned YouTubes of my grand-relatives!

  1. WHOA! I think you got some of your shnazz from your little asian grandparents! Your little asian grandparents are THE MISSING LINK to understanding your awesome! Well, actually, there will always be mystery at how one person could be so fun and motivating, but at least we have a little more evidence for our files now.

Also, I am totally supportive of abandoning 100% vegetarianism for enjoyment of favourite tastes. I don't understand the concept of being 100% anything to tell you the truth, especially with FOOD! My fake cousin Justin, for example, barely ever eats a vegetable and hates the color green, but he doesn't label himself with some title and then have a subsequent sense of shame if a veggie ever touches his lips... He does however always ssy "I don't eat McDonalds" even though he does eat the fries, it's very strange.

    Meow!
